This coffee originates from the Uraga district in the Guji zone of southern Ethiopia. Approximately 130 smallholder farmers from the village of Muda cultivate small plots at an altitude of about 2,170 meters and deliver their cherries to the Tatesa processing station.
The coffee is processed by Welichu Wachu, a company from Addis Ababa that collaborates with several hundred producers across the country and strongly focuses on quality development, careful harvesting, and farmer training. At the Tatesa site, lots are produced that impress with both clean processing and a clear origin characteristic.
The cherries are dried as Natural on raised beds. The "Five-Seven-Eleven" method is used: several phases of drying and resting ensure uniform fermentation and a particularly clean flavor profile. After drying, the coffee rests in storage before being prepared for export in Addis Ababa.
