Café Frappé - How to prepare this cold coffee drink yourself

What could be better than a cold refreshment in the summer? That's right, almost nothing! We've already found our favorite summer drink for 2024: the Café Frappé. The Café Frappé is a great way to cool off on hot days. This cold coffee beverage impresses with its delicious taste and creamy texture! The recipe for the Café Frappé is also easy to prepare. Check it out for yourself!

All you need is a standard household blender and these ingredients:

  • 2 espresso shots (approx. 40 ml)
  • 50ml water
  • 100ml milk or an alternative of your choice
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • ice cubes

Preparation:

First, prepare two shots of espresso. Use freshly roasted coffee according to your taste—whether you prefer fruity or nutty-chocolaty nuances. If you don't have an espresso machine at home, use a stovetop carafe, for example.

Grab your blender and let's get started. Add the ice cubes to your blender. Add the hot espresso, cool water, chilled milk (or milk alternative), and sugar. Blend everything for about 1-2 minutes until the mixture is nice and creamy and frothy. Now fill a glass with ice, pour in your creamy frappé, grab a straw, and enjoy your summer!

A little tip: You can also enjoy the frappé unsweetened. Just give it a try and leave out the sugar!
